left our country of birth in 1999, devastated
by its failure, and the loss of family, friends - and our loyal little
lapdog, Trishka.
Part Schipperke, part Pomeranian, we bought the palm-sized night-black puppy shortly after our marriage to symbolise the sunshine of our union.
As
we migrated over the rolling
Indian
Ocean, gracious acceptance by our country of adoption, and a burning desire
to enrich our lives with each family member's choice of canine companion,
was the only consolation for our loss.
Son pleaded for a Pyrenean, daddy named a Newfoundland and mommy said St Bernard!
